Human Resources Strategy for Researchers at Camerino University

The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers

The "HR Strategy for Researchers" is a mechanism to support the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (C&C) by research institutions. This would help increasing their attractiveness to researchers that would identify them as a stimulating and favourable working environment.

PHASES OF ACTIVITIES IN UNICAM

UNICAM action and DOCUMENTS

Third renewal assessment (2021)

Renewal by EC site visit

The HRS4R process will continue in a cyclical way for Award Renewal (alternating the organisation of site visits). UNICAM must submit to the European Commission an Internal Review on how its Action Plan is implemented.

Second renewal assessment (2017)

Renewal without site visit

Despite difficulties deriving from seismic events, in 2017 UNICAM obtained the second renewal of the acknowledgement (and adopts the OTM-R POLICY)

First renewal assessment (2014)

Renewal by EC Site visit

In 2014 UNICAM concluded the four years process with the site visit of three external experts, obtaining the renewal of the acknowledgement, evidencing a strong commitment of both the academic and administrative staff towards the implementation of the actions aimed at filling the gap between the C&C principles and UNICAM practices and regulations.

Initial Evaluation Phase for the European Commission (2010)

HR Award Granting:

In May 2010 UNICAM has obtained the acknowledgement from the European Commission and the authorization for using the HR logo. Indeed the HRS4R qualifies the research institution as a stimulating and creative working environment, favouring researchers’ independence at any stage of the career, including R1 researchers.

Initial Phase (2006-2009)

Internal analysis:

UNICAM submit to European Commission (EC) the gap-analysis and the Initial action plan

Endorsement of the C&C (2005)

Camerino Declaration (for endorsing the C&C):

The University of Camerino (UNICAM) has engaged the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) process in 2005 being confident that this improves its attractiveness for the best research talents. For the endorsing of the C&C UNICAM organized an event in Camerino during which 42 Italian universities signed the "Camerino declaration"
